Shapes Touch and Write app was trialed with a group of students in PPCD, preschool and life skills classes and was an engaging task for students at the writing centers. Teachers loved that this app provided opportunities for students to practice tracing, while increasing their fine motor skills - benefiting the students as they continued their handwriting development. Because this app adds a fun component (ex: monster eating the cupcakes along the traced shapes), students never got tired of this task.
Teachers who trialed this app with their students also loved the ability to differentiate based on student levels and the ability to customize within the app (selecting different means for students to trace with). Our students and teachers who used this app give it a thumbs up!
