Presented by Dr. David Hill. There are many different types of autism, known as the autism spectrum. The main thing they have in common is that they have trouble communicating with other people. There are three levels of autism, Asperger’s syndrome, difficulty communicating with others, interpreting their intentions or emotions, they tend to go on with subjects that interest them, may have a hard time getting jokes, but can live on their own and hold down jobs. The middle, have severe difficulty forming relationships and communicating with others, and understanding what others are saying to them. The most severe are the pervasive developmental disorder.
