Memory Match & Learn is an app that can help preschool-aged children to improve concentration, train visual memory and increase their short-term memory. Over an extended period of two weeks, teachers saw an increase in visual memory with their preschool children who engaged in playing this app each day. They also saw a difference, in these same students, when it came to shapes and color identification.
In this app, kids match cards in seven different categories, also helping them with learning and identifying things such as numbers, shapes, names of fruits, colors and more, while building their vocabulary. Using this app was a good reinforcement and supplemental resources for the pre-k class who were learning about all of these categories. Some successes and celebrations teachers shared were that, although the memory match games were fun and engaging for the kids, they loved that it helped with skills students needed to continue developing. They also expressed how the app was helpful with students who were diagnosed with autism, as it helped strengthen working memory. In addition, because students worked in partners at the technology center, this also was great for the autistic students who needed to build social skills.
